Ohio dog wardens, Ohio humane societies, Ohio 501c3 organizations and Ohio nonprofit veterinary associations can receive our grants. We expect the 2026 grants to be distributed by August 31, 2026. (Note date change from last year.) If your grant is not received by August 31, please contact us.

What pets qualify?
See the Eligibility Criteria file below for more detail. Cats and dogs adopted from animal shelters and 501c3 organizations are eligible, regardless of income. Community cats and dogs are eligible if the owner's family has income under 150% of the federal poverty guidelines or if the cats and dogs belong to a veteran with a service-connected disability.

Utilization
Please submit a grant utilization report with the following year's application. If you received a grant in 2025, please submit a utilization report of the 2025 funds with your 2026 grant application. If you do not apply for a grant in 2026, please submit the utilization report within one year of receiving the 2025 grant. The utilization report can be emailed to OhioPetFund at gmail.
